THE TUNING SCHOOL, GM TRANSMISSION GUIDE - LEARN-AT-HOME
The new transmission tuning course is a combination of knowledge for tuning GM 4, 6 and 8 speed automatic transmissions. The course is divided up into separate processes for tuning each transmission, which includes Torque Management, Shift times, Shift firmness, shift points and feel.
It does teach you a little bit about the tuning of these transmissions.
However, it doesn't teach you exactly what to look for in the logs to the enth degree.
I would expect a professional guide to teach you how these transmissions work, how to understand whats going on inside, and to create maps to plot things against and adjust accordingly.
There is very little information on how to calibrate any of these transmissions.
As an example, it doesn't teach you about using the TCC adapts for example, an advanced topic etc.
To say I learned nothing would be a lie,
However, stating this is a guide to tuning transmissions is.
It’s basically a short explanation of what 1/2 of the tables do, and a short case study on a specific stock vehicle and how to tune it in a specific way.
There is very little info on how to actually Calibrate any of these transmissions.
